Jump back kitty cat...two postings in one month. I am AWESOME!
So Merry Christmas to everyone who reads my blog...although Christmas is almost over. I hope your day was full of food, family, friends, and joy.
Due to an AMAZING friend, Brian, I was able to get home for the holidays. For those of you who don't know Portland was slammed with one wicked storm. Snow and ice all over the bloody place. It prevented either my roommate or I from going to work. This was great for the first few days but then it got REALLY boring. We contemplated killing each other...not because we were bugged by each other...we were just THAT bored. So my car was snowed in and even if it hadn't been I would have never gotten out of Portland in my car. So Brian swooped in and drove me home after he got off work on Tuesday. It took us FOUR HOURS to get from Portland to Salem...usually a 45 minute drive. By the time we got to the mountains it was crazy late and it was snowing again. We did not get to my house until 3:45am...almost 9 hours after we left! He ended up sleeping for an hour and then was back on the road by 5am. He was such a trooper...I owe him HUGE for this. Made my entire holiday season. The good thing was that we enjoy each others company and we had some pretty cool talks. I learned some stuff about him I didn't know, which makes that very long trip even better.
I got a couple hours of sleep and then spent the day with my bestest friend in the whole wide worldest. Allissa Kathleen Lotts. Only the best person ever. We exchanged gifts...I got a black purse and the c.d. I have been dying to get! I have listened to it now about a million times. It was nice to just be around her. I miss her pretty much every second I am not with her. We don't get to see each other to much this trip sadly. =( Her grandmother passed away on Tuesday and she has been in Roseburg with her family. The memorial is Saturday and I am going to be there. It is the least I can do for her. We did decide that December 23rd is a crappy day....that was the six anniversary of my mother's death. I know though that my mom was there to help her grandma. Just like I am here for her....of course that all comes back to Brian.
Christmas was great. It was nice to see most of my family. My cousin Tiffany is pregnant and her tummy is getting so big. She is just adorable! My cousin Shaun and I sparred like always....and then he proceeded to kick the crap out of me...lucky I can hold my own against him. My Grandma made WAY WAY WAY to much food but it was SOOOOOOOOOO good. All the grandkids cleaned up...which is not as easy as it sounds. A lot of towel snapping and hosing down with water. I think it took us way longer than it should have...but we had a good time. So it was worth it in the end. I get to spend some time with my sister tomorrow as well. I am looking forward to that.
I got some cool presents. My grandparents got me a wireless card!!! I sit in the living room next to the Christmas tree as I type. Very nice indeed. I got some perfume and some chocolates from Hawaii. My Dad and Step-mom got me some very warm socks and a blanket that zips into a robe. WHICH IS SO COOL. It even has sleeves...that way I never have to get up and leave my blanket behind. Those of you who know me....know how very important my blanket it is to me! I got a tear away calendar and some cookies. All in all a very good Christmas.
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Good luck in the new year!

I'm glad you've enjoyed your trip home, I wish we could've spent more time together! Next Time! Drive safe and give the Lott's family my love.
Sounds like you had a pretty good holiday, despite Mother Nature being a total hag! I'm so thrilled you got to go home, but I can't wait until we are both back in the area and can harass each other with our normal Friday afternoon study sessions! I really miss our little routine. See you in about a week. :)
