I was talking with a very dear friend last night about life choices and what we wanted to do with our lives. I am often asked what do you want to be when you grow up. That is a very good question, and the answer is what do I not want to do?! There is so much I want to do, so much life to live, how could I ever just decide on one thing that will last me forever? Here is a list of things I would love to do in my lifetime.
1. Be a tour guide for at least a year
2. Buy an old house and renovate it and turn it into a B&B
3. Own my own business in the area of event planning or a flower shop or both!
4. Be a photographer
5. Live in Ireland and work on writing a book
6. Own a pub with my best friend
7. Work as a living piece of history at Williamsburg or a place like it...you know the people that are dressed up and can talk to you about the time period?
And along the way I want to:
1: learn how to garden and watch a flower garden burst into color
2. I want to refinish furniture
3. Learn to bake the things I can only dream of baking right now
4. Learn how to reupholster furniture
5. To visit all 50 states just to say I did it
6. learn how to blow glass
These are just a few of the things I want to do in my life. I have so much to offer so much desire to see the world and experience new things that I can't imagine living just one life, one way of doing things. I want to meet new people and laugh and cry in a new part of the world. I want to learn the meaning of life and love with each new chapter. I want to cultivate new relationships and try desperately to understand why people function the way they do. So when people ask we what I want to be when I grow up...I can honestly answer, I want to try my hand at a little bit of everything. And you know...thats ok. It really is.
