Showing my progress....with a twist

So Jeff tried making a step forward in our relationship which just FREAKED me out because well....this girl *points at self* is a crazy nutbag. (All you who know me who are nodding right now....you don't have to do it so vigorously.) He of course was amazing and handled it like a champ. Incredibly sweet and kind...he also made it totally not awkward by making me laugh.

So as a way of making it up to him and showing him that I am making progress forward I thought...I will give him a key to my place! He did this a while ago but I had not yet made that step. I was so proud of me. I had a little speech that I rehearsed in my car on the way to his house last night. I delivered it perfectly and gave him the key....I even got one of those rubbery key things to go on it so he would know mine from his. *pats self on back*

We go about our business as usual. Ran to Freddie's and got our tickets for Blue October in September and had dinner. We even had root beer floats. :D *pats tummy happily* We watched Persons Unknown on TiVo...seriously watch it! I finally made my way home and then couldn't get into my door.

See I also bought a rubbery thing for his key for my ring because I kept getting them mixed up. (Don't beat me to my helmet moment just yet!) I seriously tried two or three times with the unrubbery key to get into my door....before I tried "his" key which was in reality my key. Then it dawned on me....um I may have made him a copy of the wrong key. *face/palm* So I called him feeling like the worst girlfriend ever and had him try it on his door....yup. I did. Made him a copy of the copy of the key he gave me to get into HIS house.

Awesome.

Go me.

Thankfully he is an understanding boyfriend who found it hilarious and still recognized the attempt I made. :)
