It has been a busy and not busy month all at the same time. I am still without a job...although I have been interviewing like crazy and I have an amazing interview lined up for Thursday. *fingers crossed* Things have been stressful, figuring out a new budget, figuring out my school loans, looking for work and the sudden lack of a social life that comes with being unemployed. I have spent a lot of time crying this month, but it hasn't been all bad.
In fact, a lot of good stuff has happened. First part of the month Jeffrey and I went home to visit my Grandparents. We helped around the farm and ate more food than any one human should eat. We laid in the hammock together and played trivia games, which Jeff beat me at. Soundly. But it's okay. I still love him. (Darling...you are supposed to let the girl win. ;-D! ) Jeffrey was determined to pet the little cow and spent a while trying to feed the little cow. He was successful at a couple of points.
We also went with Grandma and Grandpa to the Oregon Vortex and took the tour. It was a lot of fun and Jeff spent most of the time trying to ruin it for me by telling me how it is done....but I kept telling him no...I didn't want the magic ruined.
As the month went on my desire for a kitten increased and as my previous post announced Jeffrey and Allissa got me Ally. She is a pain in the butt but we love her. Jeff's kids love her too, which means she is actually a very patient kitten who is determined to get outside. She has recently discovered that she can sleep on October's bed and since it is a bunk bed she can sleep in the corner where no one can get to her. Poshy is tolerating her.
We also celebrated Jeffrey's 33rd birthday this month. (He is getting old but you can't tell him that.) Made him a special dinner and got him a cool present.
And lastly we saw Blue October on Sunday at the Crystal Ballroom. We bought our tickets back in June, so this was a long time coming. We had dinner beforehand and suffered through the opening band. Seriously the lead singer looked like he was having a seizure and they just put his noises to music. It was bad. But Blue October rocked! Couldn't have had a better time.
This month has had its rough spots but all in all it was a pretty good month. Looking forward to next month. We will be celebrating our six month anniversary and we are talking about going to Seattle for the day to celebrate. Plus, its Halloween...which means haunted houses and corn mazes. Woot!"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life you have a thousand reasons to smile."
