This is where I will be documenting my service for the next year. For those who do not know I am serving for a year in the VISTA part of the Americorps.
I am based in Portland in a great non-profit called Step It Up, Inc. The mission of Step It Up is to Inspire the belief that all young people deserve a chance to prove their abilities and follow their career dreams. I will be working as a Community & Development Specialist! I am looking forward to the hard work and seeing it pay off.

Just meandering along...
...and along the way I shall: take naps, eat really good food, laugh till I cry, hold hands with my Jeffrey, get a grown up job, figure out how to be more open, cry till I laugh, learn to let go of things out of my control, eat chocolate, watch really bad B flicks, try as many happy hours as possible, learn that it is okay to lean on someone else, enjoy the changing relationships in my life and of course...be happy.
