Well would you look at that....

I started my new job on Monday and I am totally in love with this place. I am actually excited to go to work in the mornings and my hours there fly by. I looked down at the clock yesterday and it was almost time to go home and I felt like I had just walked in. My co-workers are so welcoming and very excited for the work I am going to be doing. I actually feel like I am wanted and that what I have to say is being listened too. My supervisor is giving me power over my project and making me feel that I am in control. Of course we will meet weekly and I will bring her up to speed and I get her help when I need it.

But in only two days I feel more productive and more of part of a team than I ever felt like at any of my past placements. I do not feel like a guest. I do not feel like I have to walk on egg shells. I feel empowered. And you know...that is a really good feeling. I was talking with someone yesterday about it and they said, "That is the way you should feel. You shouldn't feel like what you are doing is a chore." And they are right. I am doing the same work I was doing at my previous placement and I feel totally different, this time around it doesn't make me want to shoot myself in the face. That is a huge difference. One I totally appreciate.

Am I sad about the fact I am living another year on my stipend...yes...but this time around...I think I will actually make the difference I signed on to do. SO TAKE THAT!!!!
